Mahatma postponed due to censor trouble
The much awaited 100th film of hero Srikanth ‘Mahatma’ was scheduled for release on October 2 to coincide with Gandhi Jayanthi. Mahatma faced some problems with the censor board.
The board members felt that the film had too much violence and some objectionable scenes and hence the film was referred to the review committee.
Mahatma is directed by Krishna Vamsi and Bhavana is the heroine. The film is now likely to hit the screens on October 9.

Few of us would have heard Sanskrit verses from the Bhagwad Gita recited this way — opera-style.

Srikant and Krishna Vamsi’s combination film ‘Mahatma’ is planned to release on October 2nd that is on Gandhi Jayanti among high expectations. It is learnt that, Krishna Vamsi determined to give a super hit for Srikant as a gift with this film Mahatma. Hero Rocky launches Mahatma Audio
The audio of 'Mahatma' directed by Srirangam Satish Kumar, presented by S Gita and produced by Gaddam Sreenu (Venkatagiri) on the banner of Nagarjuna Cine Creations was launched at a simple function at Sarathi Studios in Hyderabad. Hero Rocky launched the audio and handed over the first cassette to producer Gaddam Sreenu. Later the audio CD was launched by Rocky's father Hussain and handed over the first CD to lyricist Taidala Bapu.
