Ingredients:
Chicken(cut into pieces 1 whole Vegetable oil 1 1/2 cup Medium onions chopped 2 Black cardamom 7 Cumin seeds 1 tsp Lemon 2 Black pepper powder 2 tbsp Green pepper corn mustard 2 tbsp Salt 1 1/2 tsp Garlic cloves, peeled and crushed 6
Directions:
Heat the oil in a heavy bottomed saucepan over medium heat. When hot add onions and cardamom pods and cumin seeds and cook stirring frequently untill the onions begin to brown. Add the chicken pieces and cook stirring frequently for 10 minutes. Mix the lemon juice, black pepper, mustard, salt and add 1 cup water. Pour the mixture over the chicken and onions. Let the mixture cook, cover and let it cook over medium heat for 15 minutes. Add the garlic and continue cooking for 30 to 40 minutes stirring occasionally, untill the meat is tender. Add a little more liquid if necessary to prevent it from getting burnt. Serve with pulao.
