`Hallo` - A Super Hit!

Mohanlal's Hallo, has taken the best ever opening in 2007 for a Malayalam film, in 56 screens with 100 percent opening. The film is turning out to be the super hit of the year so far, and family audience are going crazy about Lal ettan's drunken lawyer act.
At Thiruvananthapuram, Sreekumar and Sreevisakh, it has grossed Rs 3, 86, 560 in its first two days of opening (July 5& 6). The way it has opened and is being appreciated, Rafi- Mecartin's family entertainer Hallo has the potential for a 100 day run!

Dasmunshi inaugurates Indian Panorama section of IFFI The Indian Panorama section of the International Film Festival of India, which will screen 40 films, was inaugurated here today by Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Priyaranjan Dasmunshi.
"The Indian film industry depicts the diversity of Indian culture and our films enjoy a worldwide audience," said Dasmunshi in the presence of Goa Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane, who was the guest of honour for the function.
Dasmunshi called on Indian filmmakers to promote this multiplicity to the whole world and said they should not remain confined to the country.

Ajit-King of opening!

Ajit the "king of opening" is strong on the advance booking front in Chennai city. His Kireedam has been sold out in five Chennai screens for the opening weekend!
According to Nag Ravi, the Chennai city distributor of the film: " I think the film will open well. We are already sold out for the weekend. I have added one more screen Raj at Jayaprada complex to ease the pressure for tickets. The film has already netted Rs 28.64 lakhs in advance booking from five screens".

Annan Thambi- Super opening!

Mammootty's Annan Thambi opened big in Kerala. The film has taken a distributors share of Rs 1.07 crore in four days from 75 screens. It is a new opening record for any film in Kerala.
Though the Anwar Rasheed film carries mixed reports, the opening is gigantic. It proves the producers and distributors point of view that any big film should release in the maximum number of screens possible. Two new theatres in Hyderabad

Cine Planet, a multiplex was constructed at Kompally and Vijayalakshmi 70mm, was opened at LB Nagar. Both of them were inaugurated recently and thrown open for pubic.
While Prabhas-Nayanatara starrer Yogi was the opening film in Vijayalakshmi, the Cine Planet Multiplex is screening Yogi, Desamuduru and Guru (Hindi) in its two screens.

Salman Khan in Barjatya’s 'Vivah' Sooraj Barjatya’s forthcoming movie will have a shot of his lucky mascot.
The very opening shot of Vivah will have Salman Khan . However, it won’t be the actor in flesh and blood, but just a life-size poster of him.
Barjatya is known for his superhit films like Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun , which featured Salman in main roles. Both films had Salman playing the lead character Prem.
‘Vivah’, however, has Shahid Kapur playing Prem, because the film is a love story of a young couple. But Barjatya decided to include his lucky mascot Salman in the film.
