In a function organized by Yuva Kala Vahini at Ravindra Bharathi, Jayasudha received “Pride of Indian Cinema Award” award from the hands of Dr. CNaRe and Dr. Akkineni Nageshwara Rao. Jayasudha is felicitated with a silver crown and Gold Kankanam.
While addressing the crowd ANR said only Jayasudha can replace Jayasudha’s role in the movies. Dr. CNaRe also praised her on this occasion. With the Saree and Bindi Jayasudha looks like “padaharanala teluginti adapadachu” said actor T. L. Kantha Rao.
Jayasudha is Andhra Oprah Winfrey. She is now anchoring a popular show on a private TV channel. The show brings to light the lives of ordinary people and their problems.
Jayasudha is happy that she is helping the poor and the underprivileged in her own little way with the show.
Jayasudha conceived the show which is along the lines of Oprah Winfrey show. She approached several TV channels in the past six or seven years but with little success.
Finally NTV liked the show and agreed to sponsor it. The show is titled as ‘Mee Jayasudha’ and it is getting a good response. Jayasudha says that she has been a great fan of Oprah Winfrey all these years and is glad to do something along her lines. more

The charming and talented actress Jayasudha has been out of the limelight for some time. But she is now slowly making a comeback of sorts. She has taken up selective assignment in Telugu and continues to make a mark. She is now playing mother to some of the young heroes and heroines.
