  • ‘Ishtapadithe’ busy in recording

    The first schedule of ‘Ishtapadithe’ directed by Srinivas M and produced by Goluguri Lakshminarayana Reddy and R Suryaprakash on the banner of SC Creations under the supervision of Sai and Madhu was held at Hyderabad, while the second schedule was taken up at Rajahmundry, Ramachandrapuram and Yanam.

    The recording of songs for the film began recently, with the first song rendered by Sunitha. Director says, ‘The shooting would be wrapped up with the canning of songs abroad.’ Producers say, ‘We are making efforts to release the film in the first week of May.’

    Subash Rayal, Farah Khan, Ali, MS Narayana, Jeeva, Krishna Bhagawan, Hema, Raghunatha Reddy, Vinod, Satyasri and others are in the cast. Camera by E Prasad, while

    'Ishtapadithe' (Premena!) begins shooting

    The shooting of 'Ishtapadithe' (Premena!) produced by Goluguri Lakshminarayana and R Surya Prakash, introducing Subhash Rayal as hero, Farah Khan as heroine was launched at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad recently.

    Noted clothier and owner of Tummidi Brothers Tummidi Vijayakumar gave the clap, while senior producer Edida Nageswara Rao switched on the camera for the muhurat shot under the honorary direction of Ammiraju.

    One of the producers Goluguri Lakshminarayana Reddy says, 'We are introducing M Srinivasa Rao as director through our film. The story has a good message for the youth.'     `Hallo` - A Super Hit!



    Mohanlal's Hallo, has taken the best ever opening in 2007 for a Malayalam film, in 56 screens with 100 percent opening. The film is turning out to be the super hit of the year so far, and family audience are going crazy about Lal ettan's drunken lawyer act.

    Ajit-King of opening!



    Ajit the "king of opening" is strong on the advance booking front in Chennai city. His Kireedam has been sold out in five Chennai screens for the opening weekend!

    According to Nag Ravi, the Chennai city distributor of the film: " I think the film will open well. We are already sold out for the weekend. I have added one more screen Raj at Jayaprada complex to ease the pressure for tickets. The film has already netted Rs 28.64 lakhs in advance booking from five screens".

    Annan Thambi- Super opening!



    Mammootty's Annan Thambi opened big in Kerala. The film has taken a distributors share of Rs 1.07 crore in four days from 75 screens. It is a new opening record for any film in Kerala.

    Though the Anwar Rasheed film carries mixed reports, the opening is gigantic. It proves the producers and distributors point of view that any big film should release in the maximum number of screens possible. For the makers, the return on investment is faster and at the end of the day it’s safer than going for a limited release.

    Two new theatres in Hyderabad



    Cine Planet, a multiplex was constructed at Kompally and Vijayalakshmi 70mm, was opened at LB Nagar. Both of them were inaugurated recently and thrown open for pubic.

    While Prabhas-Nayanatara starrer Yogi was the opening film in Vijayalakshmi, the Cine Planet Multiplex is screening Yogi, Desamuduru and Guru (Hindi) in its two screens.

    Pawan’s 'Jalsa' rakes in the moolah

    The film ‘Jalsa’ hit the screens two days ago. The opinion about the film has been very mixed so far. The debate about the merits and de-merits of the film still continues in the media.     No tickets for Chirutha



    The tickets for Charan Tej’s movie Chirutha were sold out in the first hour of opening. Fans lapped up the tickets for the first three days - Friday, Saturday and Sunday in just less than an hour.
