Gopika Purnima weds Mallikarjuna
Popular playback singers Mallikarjuna Rao and Gopika Purnima tied their nuptial knot at Appanna Kalyanamandapam in Simhachalam near Visakhapatnam. Both of them proved good singers through ‘Paaduthaa… Teeyagaa…’, a television programme organized by popular playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam in ETV. Later, they became playback singers in the Telugu film industry. Mallikarjuna Rao belongs to Gopalapatnam of Visakhapatnam, while Gopika Purnima belonged to Vizianagaram. Both the singers fell in love with each other.

Mallikarjun Rao dead
Noted comedian and general secretary of Movie Artists Association Mallikarjun Rao passed away this morning. He was admitted to Apollo hospital a couple of day ago after he took ill. Malikarjun Rao was suffering form leukemia. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
Mallikarjun Rao began his career with the film Ladies Tailor and acted in over 375 films in his long and illustrious career. He won the Nandi award for Best Supporting actor for the film Tammudu.

Mallikarjun Rao in critical condition
Comedian and General Secretary of Movie Artist Association M Mallikarjun Rao took ill this morning and he was rushed to the Apollo Hospital immediately. He is now undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.
The doctors have stated that his condition was critical and nothing could be said till another 24 hours. Chiranjeevi, Nagababu, Brahmanandam, Giribabu, Srikanth and others visited the hospital.

Gopi Gopika Godavari postponed
The release of the much awaited Vamsi film Gopi Gopika Godavari has been postponed. The film was originally scheduled to hit the screen on June 25 but it will now be released on July 10.
