The film Billa with Prabhas as hero and rebel star Krishnam Raju as a police officer is progressing at a brisk pace. Mehar Ramesh is the director. The film is a remake of the Taml film Billa by the same name.
The Tamil film in turn is a remake of a Hindi film. In all, Billa has been made five times, twice in Hindi and Tamil and once in Telugu. The Telugu version was titled as Yugandhar and NT Rama Rao was the hero.
